FC Akhmat will play away against FC Orenburg in the 2nd round of the RPL Path of the FONBET Russian Cup today, Wednesday, 13 August. The match at Orenburg’s Gazovik Stadium is set to kick off at 16:15 Moscow time.

 

This will be only the second time Stanislav Cherchesov has faced Orenburg. Their previous meeting was on 7 April 2011, when Cherchesov was managing Zhemchuzhina Sochi. In that second-round FNL clash, the Sochi side secured a 2–0 away win.

 

Stanislav Cherchesov has also never faced a team played for or coached by Orenburg’s head coach Vladimir Slishkovic — making today’s fixture their first encounter on the touchline.
