The Russian Football Union has signed a new 2+2 deal with head coach Stanislav Cherchesov.
Thus, Stanislav Cherchesov will train the national squad to upcoming international friendlies, UEFA Nations League and Euro 2020 qualifications.

— The coaching staff of the Russian national team signed a new 2+2 deal with the Russian Football Union today. I am pleased that we are continuing our work with the Russian national. We have lifted the bar rather high in terms of results and would very much like to keep on like that. We fully understand our responsibility before the nation and will keep doing our job with dignity.

— We are pleased to announce an extension of the contract with Stanislav Cherchesov who led our national team to the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 1970.
