Russia announce squad for World Cup 2024 qualifiers

Stanislav Cherchesov and his coaching staff have announced the squad for World Cup 2024 qualifiers against Malta (March 24), Slovenia (March 27) and Slovakia (March 27).

The following players have been invited:

Goalkeepers: Anton Shunin (Dynamo Moscow), Soslan Dzhanaev (FC Sochi), Yury Dupin (Rubin Kazan).

Defenders: Georgi Dzhikiya (Spartak Moscow), Yuri Zhirkov, Vyacheslav Karavayev (both - Zenit St Petersburg), Aleksander Zhirov (Zandhausen), Fedor Kudryashov (Antalyaspor), Roman Neustaedter (Dynamo Moscow), Ilya Samoshnikov (Rubin Kazan), Andrey Semenov (Akhmat Grozny), Igor Smolnikov (Krasnodar), Mario Fernandes (CSKA Moscow)

Midfielders: Ilzat Akhmetov (CSKA Moscow), Aleksander Golovin (Monaco), Rifat Zhemaletdinov (Lokomotiv Moscow), Roman Zobnin (Spartak Moscow), Aleksey Ionov (Krasnodar), Daler Kuzyaev, Andrey Mostovoy, Magomed Ozdoyev (all - Zenit St Petersburg), Reziuan Mirzov (Khimki), Aleksey Miranchuk (Atalanta), Daniil Fomin (Dynamo Moscow).
