Ferencvaros have beaten Ujpest 2-1 and won the Hungarian NB I Leage on Sunday, the 24th of April! 

 

Ujpest took a lead as striker Budu Zivzivadze scored a penalty kick on the 6th minute. An equalizer came from Tokmac just 13 minutes later and Vécsei secured Ferencvaros a 2-1 lead on the 39th minute. 

The added time was approximately 10 minutes and Ferencvaros half back Stjepan Loncar was sent off for the second yellow card. 5th added minute saw an equalizer for Ujpest from Croizet but the goal was disallowed by VAR due to hand play. 

"We just hit two birds with one stone as we won the league and we won the derby. I have to admit that it was not our best match today but what is most important is we achieved our aim. However, it is still early to relax as there is the cup final ahead and we are very serious about winning that trophy as well", said Cherchesov after the match.
